Meet Albert Recinos the creator of True Gratitude. His page shares stories of gratitude from all over the world and quotes that inspire gratitude. We are honored that he would share his gratitude and his passion for True Gratitude with us.
What does being grateful mean to you?
Appreciating what you have while working towards what you want.
Right now, in this moment what are 3 things you are grateful for?
My new job, upcoming time off for the holidays. My health, and the health of my loved ones.
Who is the first person that comes to mind when you hear, “Someone in my life that I’m grateful for and why?”
My Mother. She was a single parent and always showed me what hard work and determination is.
What inspired you to start True Gratitude?
I suffered from really bad anxiety a few years back and started researching things to “cure” myself. Along with other things, a gratitude practice was key in my healing. I believe that it changed my life.
Can you tell us about the new direction you are taking True Gratitude?
I’m looking to share stories of what gratitude means to people all over the world. I think it will serve as a good reminder that there’s always something to be grateful for.
Along your journey with True Gratitude did you find any Instagram accounts, sites, apps, or bloggers you would recommend us checking out?
To be honest not one particular thing comes up. I just sort of started and ran with it. I was inspired by people like Deepak Chopra and Eckhart Tolle.
What is one suggestion you could give to our audience that can help them incorporate gratitude into their daily lives?
Start small. A gratitude practice is very different for everyone. If journaling is not your thing, then don’t stress yourself out by writing things down. The easiest thing for me was to say 3 things that I’m grateful for before getting out of bed each day. I started with the basics, such as the ability to walk, to see, hot running water, a job to go to. It doesn’t have to be elaborate. This really sets the tone for my day.
