An Open Letter to My Father

Dear Dad,

I am thankful for the fact that I actually have at least one parent to rely on.

I am most thankful for the fact that when I come home I get to see you and you ask me how my day was.

I do not remember when I was exactly young like 2 or 3 years old; but, I do remember some stuff. I remember when mom used to leave in the middle of the night and we would get up looking for her. You would tell us it was ok and that she would be back some time.

I also remember when she would be there, you all would be yelling. Afterward, you would always take us out. We would go go-carting or hang out all day.

The best time we ever had was when I was ten years old.  We went to St. Louis and for two weeks, we laughed and played the whole time.  We had fun for sure.

Well, the whole reason I am writing this is because I want you to know how happy I am for you supporting me and for you being there for me every single day, minute, and second of my life.

I also want you to know you are the key to my life. I’m saying that because I know you brought me into this would and you can take me out.

I love you, daddy.
